is Chloe Sullivan?
Her determination as a reporter and spunky personality almost make her seem like Lois Lane - the Smallville verision. And her nose for the extraordinary make her also somewhat like Agent Mulder (of the X-files).
Sometime after the meteor shower, Chloe moved to Smallville. She befriended Clark Kent and Pete Ross. A curious girl, the budding Smallville journalist began noticing that the meteor rocks have caused some odd reactions in the Smallville citizens. A fact she one day shared with Clark and Pete, along with her X-filish "Wall of Weird". She takes her job as reporter and editor to the Smallville High newspaper, The Torch, quite seriously. But her stories, which don't tend to focus on football and pep rallies, brought along some conflict with the Principal. Her Mulder- like awareness of the after-effects of the Meteor shower often allows the-boy-of-steel (in secret) to save Smallville the citizens from the latest threat.
Because Chloe is so into her "work", Clark tends to miss the fact that she does have one other interest, a secret crush on him. Luckily, other people finally woke him up and he saw her for the lovely lady she is.
