is Lana Lang?
In his Smallville years Lana was the object of Clark's affection. She's significant as the very first love in Superman's life.
In the series SMALLVILLE, Lana is orphaned by the events that bring Clark to Smallville. Her parents are killed in the meteor shower, leaving her in the custody of Nell, her aunt.
Clark's friends once teased him about the weak in the knees reaction he seemed to have to Lana Lang, little did they know it was caused by the kryptonite necklace (which has now been given away -- it left town with Whitney). When she was dating Whitney Fordman, though he was high school heartthrob material, there seemed to be a distance between them because of the many recent changes in thier life, including an illness in Whitney's family (his father who eventually died) and her abandonment of the popular girl world of cheerleading for the work force. She's growing closer to Clark everyday. And her entrepreneurial endeavor has been aided (in part) by Lex Luthor.
With Whitney now gone, who knows where life will lead Lana.
