The gorgeous 5' 4" actress behind Lana Lang was born Devember 30, 1982 in Vancouver B C, Canada.  She is Half-Chinese and half-Dutch. Her parents  are landscape architects and she has a younger sister

Kruek was initally planning to go to university for psychology or environmental studies. Though she had done stage work, she had never worked professionally  as an actress before some incidental casting in Edgemont High as Laurel. Along with her feature part in Smallville, she is the latest of the Neutrogena models. 

Kirsten says though she likes acting sometimes "I don't know if it is something that I could do for the rest of my life."
