Lana's loves

THE GUY
Why him?
WHITNEY FORDMAN
This, is in my opinion a boring pair. He is the only one to ever get any real Lana love. Whitney was introduced as the school jock dating the beautiful high school cheerleader, Lana. Family troubles flipped his life on it's head. While an ill father certainly kept Lana's sympathies, it seems her passions in life are beyond him. While Lana seemed to have a need to hold on to him, there was never a chemical attraction. When Whitney joined the army, he asked Clark to look out for Lana. Something tells me this is the stupidest request he'll ever make. (Especially since he now has the krptonite necklass, the only thing that could get in the way.)

CLARK KENT
It's Clark, we love him and he loves Lana Lang. What's with this guy and girls with the initials LL?

Mutual disaster left them orphaned, so it's easy to see a bond there. Built in tender moments, the-boy-of-steel and the Smallville sweetheart certainly have a warm-fuzzy chemistry.

LEX LUTHOR
Ignoring the fact that at 21 Lex is a little old for her, you have to admit he and Lana share a certain spark. While his friendship with Clark makes him a champion of the Clark/Lana relationship, from the moment Lex approached Lana in the stables, there was a certain something. There's this sense of the forbidden that makes it all the more appealing.
PETE ROSS
I know what your thinking, Lana and Pete? Yeah right. What's he doing here? Well in the current Smallville story line it's very hard to see this ever happening. But in the end (at least in comics) this is the guy she ends up being with.

I don't know if the Smallville mythology will ever move toward this comic book marriage, but it would be funny if they had them be husband and wife on some "family planning" school exercise, then say something like "like I'd ever marry you." It will provide a good inside joke, but otherwise there's no need to force something where nothing yet exist. The future is a long way away.
